CNC Machining in Colorado

Schwantek provides CNC machining for Colorado companies that need precision components, prototypes, and repeat production parts. Based in Colorado Springs, we combine machining experience with CAD/CAM and design-for-manufacturing knowledge to help customers move from concept or drawing to a finished part.

Colorado-Based Precision Machining

Schwantek machines custom metal components for Colorado manufacturers, product companies, engineers, and businesses that need parts made accurately and reliably.

We are based in Colorado Springs and serve customers throughout Colorado and the Front Range. Whether a customer needs a prototype, a small production run, or a repeatable machined component, our goal is to make the process straightforward from the first drawing review through production. More about the shop is on our About page.

CNC Machining Capabilities

Precision machined components, made to your drawing and inspected before they ship.

  • CNC millingPrecision milling for custom components, prototypes, fixtures, and production parts.
  • Prototype machiningMachined prototypes for fit, testing, design validation, and early production.
  • Production machiningRepeatable CNC machining for low-volume and ongoing production requirements.
  • CAD/CAM supportManufacturing experience combined with CAD/CAM knowledge to help move parts efficiently from design to machining.
  • Design for manufacturabilityWe review parts before machining to identify features that may unnecessarily increase cost, machining time, or complexity.

The machine we run and the largest part it takes are listed on our Colorado Springs CNC machine shop page. CAD modeling and the rest of our services are on the capabilities page. Milling work across the state is covered on our CNC milling in Colorado page.

More Than a Print-to-Part Machine Shop

Not every project begins with a production-ready drawing.

Schwantek brings machining and manufacturing experience into the conversation early. When appropriate, we can review a design for manufacturability before material is cut and identify areas that may affect machining time, setup, tooling, or cost.

The goal is not to redesign a customer's product. It is to help ensure the part can be manufactured efficiently while preserving the function and intent of the design. Our How We Work page explains where that review fits in a job.

Prototype to Production CNC Machining

A prototype and a repeat production part may use the same drawing, but they often require different manufacturing decisions.

Schwantek can support projects from early machined prototypes through repeat production. As quantities grow, we look for opportunities to improve workholding, setup, tooling, programming, and process consistency.

This approach is especially useful for Colorado companies that want a machining partner who can support a product as it moves from development into ongoing production.

Serving Companies Across Colorado

Schwantek is located in Colorado Springs and serves customers across Colorado.
